White Oak flush frame

In this painting my daughter is just waking up from a nap. She is mesmerized by a set of hourglasses filling and emptying on the window sill. It was April, around 3pm. The grass outside was green, but not the trees.

When I saw the scene I knew it would be a painting. The neutrals inside, the cool exterior and the room and the window weren't fighting each other. I pulled the patch of light on the floor into the frame and shifted her position slightly on the bench so the light would glow around her.

This moment would never happen again. And yet, here it is for eternity.
