Daffodils are my annual mile marker, a chance to find out how much I have learned since last year. Every year I try my hardest, and every year they’re still hard. 

This year I wanted crisp, clear color shapes. I started from life, then used photos I took as the light shifted over the still life. 

I was so focused on the flowers but in the end I was just has happy with the fabric draping behind them.
